The Narrows Bed and Breakfast is situated in a prime location in downtown St. John's, North Americas oldest city, and is within walking distance to all the incredible downtown amenities such as the convention centers, restaurants, entertainment, shopping, The Rooms, world famous George Street and the George Street Festival, sight seeing and so much more.

Built just after The Great Fire of 1892, this turn of the century home is in the heart of Jellybean Row on Gower Street and offers a total of seven different private rooms for guests to enjoy, as well as beautiful common areas for relaxing or mingling or enjoying some of the tasty treats that come from the well appointed kitchen.  You will also find beautiful antiques and artwork throughout.

Owner Ann O'Brien opened the doors to The Narrows Bed and Breakfast in 1995 - that's 25 years of hospitality, making good friends, serving great food and laughing and loving life all along the way!

Manager Lisa Clarke has over 30 years in the service and hospitality industry in Newfoundland and accross Canada.  She knows St. John's like the back of her hand and can point you in the right direction for anything you might need.

If there's one thing the guests remember about their visit to The Narrows, it's the great conversation and laughter that takes place each morning over a delicious breakfast and indeed throughout the day.  There is no shortage of stories and jokes to be told.

All of our guests enjoy free internet, wifi and television with Netflix, private ensuite bathrooms, quality bed linens with down duvets, plush towels and soaps and shampoos and of course a tasty home cooked breakfast every morning featuring the familiar and perhaps not so familiar traditional Newfoundland fare and world renowned hospitality and good conversation.
